Blu-ray Replication

Blu-ray replication opens up a new world of opportunities to the content owner. With incredible high-resolution imagery, enhanced surround sound capability and innovative special features, Blu-ray discs are truly the wave of the future and have become very affordable. Replicated Blu-ray discs are up to six times the resolution of today’s standard definition DVDs. Blu-ray has a single-layer capacity of 25GB and a dual-layer capacity of 50GB. These new formats are a giant leap forward for filmmakers looking for high-definition delivery to today’s discerning viewers.

The replication process begins by making a stamper from your Blu-ray master. The stamper is then mounted into an injection mold machine. Under high pressure, polycarbonate plastic is then injected into the mold. Once the molding is complete, two layers are bonded together. A reflective coating is applied to the disc, as well as a protective coating. The disc is then spun at a very high speed to distribute the coating, which is then sealed under ultraviolet light. The final disc is quality controlled and ready for print.

Our printing process allows you to use up to 6 colors. We print using state-of-the-art screen or off-set printers. UV cured inks allow an extremely high quality, durable label to be added to any Blu-ray. Off-set print can be done at a 175-line screen which closely resembles printing on paper with no texture.
